Caramel Apple Dip Easy Recipe For Fall Parties

Ingredients ! bag individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped (approx. 24) 1/4 cup water 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (not fat free), softened 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon. vanilla Directions In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat (or in the microwave) melt caramels with water, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Fold in caramel mixture. Serve warm or refrigerate and serve cold with tart apple slices (also good with bananas and other fruit, pretzels, graham crackers, ginger snaps, etc.) Note: Dip can be prepared (and refrigerated) several days ahead of party. You can also slice the apples several hours before the party by putting them in a bowl of about 4 cups of water and 1/4 cup lemon juice, then keep in the refrigerator. Right before you're ready to serve, drain apples and put on platter.
